He was born in 1970 in Abdullahpur, Munshiganj district. Currently, he permanently resides in Dhaka. He passed the Secondary School Certificate (SSC) examination in 1986 from Cotton Mills High School and passed the Higher Secondary Certificate (HSC) examination in 1988 from Dhaka College.
He earned his MBBS degree in 1997 from Sylhet M. A. G. Osmani Medical College. In 2009, he obtained his FCPS degree.
He joined government service through the 203rd BCS and has been serving in various hospitals across the country.
