He was born in 1971 into a respected Muslim family in Chandanpur village, Belabo Upazila, Narayanganj district. Currently, he resides permanently in Dhaka.
He passed the Secondary School Certificate (SSC) examination in 1986 from Dakshindhura High School, Belabo Upazila, Narayanganj, and passed the Higher Secondary Certificate (HSC) examination with distinction in 1988 from Notre Dame College, Dhaka.
He obtained his MBBS degree in 1997 from Rangpur Medical College. In 2006, he earned his DCH (Diploma in Child Health) from Dhaka Shishu Hospital, and in 2015, he completed his SD (Child Health) postgraduate degree from Dhaka Medical College.
He joined government service through the 22nd BCS in 2003 and has served with distinction at Shaheed Suhrawardy Medical College and Hospital as well as various other hospitals across the country.
