Dr. Subrata Poddar Chayan obtained his medical degree from Dhaka Medical College in 2004.

In November 2008, he joined as a 1st class gazetted officer under the Government of the People’s Republic of Bangladesh.

In 2014, he earned his postgraduate degree FCPS (Medicine) from the Bangladesh College of Physicians and Surgeons (BCPS).

In 2015, he was elected as a member of the American College of Physicians, USA.

In November 2018, he joined as a Consultant (Medicine) in his home district, Narsingdi, providing healthcare services to the local people.

In 2022, he obtained another postgraduate degree, MD (Gastroenterology), from Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Medical University (PG Hospital).
Currently, he is working as a Consultant at Sheikh Russel National Gastro Liver Institute and Hospital, Mohakhali, Dhaka. For the past two years, he has been providing diagnosis and treatment services for complex liver, pancreas, and gastrointestinal diseases at this institution. Additionally, he is proficient in diagnostic and therapeutic endoscopy, colonoscopy, and other gastrointestinal interventions.
